The policy, according to media reports, was amended in 2007, but not changed in the materials circulated among employees under the supervision of the Taxicab Authority, a state governmental agency. According to the ACLU, this situation is unacceptable must be fixed immediately.

Submitted by Paige Thie White on Thu, 02/25/2010 - 12:35.Tucked into Governor Gibbons’ proposals to solve the budget crisis are thinly-veiled attacks on the Constitution and Nevada’s libertarian ethos. Others measures undermine individual rights and civil liberties.

ACLU of Nevada Hosts Notre Dame Law School Students
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 01/05/2010 - 12:34.On January 4, 2010, the ACLU of Nevada started the new year by hosting five students from Notre Dame School of Law for a day. The students were visiting Las Vegas as part of the GALILEE program (Group Alternative Live-In Legal Education). GALILEE enables students to visit different legal organizations, especially those geared towards the assistance of the urban poor and under-served populations, to learn how they can use their legal expertise to assist with the difficult legal problems in the future. It also allows the students to see and experience the issues that they would otherwise not be able to in a normal classroom setting.
