Vanessa Aponte is a research intern for the ACLU of Nevada. She's currently on the pre-law track at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in the Honors College program, where she's pursuing a bachelor's degree in Psychology. On campus, she serves in the student government's judicial branch as the Chief Justice, the Editor-in-Chief of the UNLV Undergraduate Law Review, and the Secretary of the Pre-Law Women of UNLV. She also volunteers as an Educational Advocate with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. Post-graduation, Vanessa plans on attending law school to become a public interest attorney, where she can represent individuals within marginalized communities in the courtroom. In her free time, Vanessa loves to sing, especially musicals!
