Soon after graduating from the University of Nevada Reno, her path led her to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA member at Clark County Social Services, focusing on assisting homeless populations and low-income communities in Southern Nevada. This experience fueled her passion for public service, leading her into pivotal roles in Nevada's government and community services sector.
She has a proven track record of leadership, community engagement, and program management in various positions, including her most recent role as the District Director for Congressman Steven Horsford, where she helped convene thought leaders, drive community collaboration, and promote advocacy and policy efforts. At the heart of her career and personal interest is a strong commitment to fostering high-impact relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, including elected officials, labor unions, faith-based organizations, advocacy groups, and local communities. Divya brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of community engagement and partnership development. With a strong foundation in public service, program development, nonprofit work, and political campaign management, Divya has played instrumental roles in driving positive change throughout her career. Divya has been and continues to be a proven champion for Nevadans.
She currently serves as the Director of Partnerships and Engagement at Nevada GrantLab, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to aiding the nonprofit sector and government partners in effectively planning, securing, and managing federal grants to benefit Nevadans and strengthen their organizations.
