There are a number of ways you can work with the ACLU of Nevada to further civil rights and liberties in our state and nation.
ACTION TEAM
We need to hold our elected officials accountable and ensure they protect the civil rights and liberties of all Nevadans. Most importantly, they need to hear from people like you — their constituents. When legislators, city council members, school trustees, and other policymakers hear from the people who live in their districts, it makes the biggest impact.
We'll call on you at critical moments during the legislative session to contact legislators, reach out to other ACLU members, and advocate for civil rights. Because of the pandemic, this team will likely be operating remotely during the 2021 session of the Nevada Legislature. Fill out this form to get started.
MOBILE JUSTICE
Mobile Justice is a smartphone app that allows users to directly send videos of police interactions to the ACLU of Nevada. Volunteers help review those video submissions and flag videos that require further review by the ACLU of Nevada. This is a remote volunteer opportunity. Fill out this form to get started.
VOLUNTEER TRANSLATORS
Nevada is full of diverse communities, and the ACLU of Nevada wants to ensure every community member — regardless of what language they speak — can access our Know Your Rights and advocacy information. Fill out this form to get started.
LEGAL VOLUNTEERS
If you are an attorney practicing in Nevada, you might be interested in serving as an ACLU of Nevada cooperating attorney, on our legal committee, or in another capacity. Fill out this form to get started.
